While i was out of town my dog managed to get an eye infection, my mom was watching her and she said she had much eye mucus and had to use a warm rag to get her to be able to open her eye again. the white of her eye is blood red, and there is some cloudy mucas or something on the whole of the colored part of her eye. i have ciloxan ointment for human eye infections but i dont know if its ok to use it, i called a vet and they said she might have a cornal ulcer, and if that is the case would using med's on the infection affect that in a bad way? please only answer if your a vet or have had this with your dog in the past, she is very important to me and im going to the vet asap but i want to help my dog now. thanks much.
